Preparing construction materials and tools for tradespersons.
• Assisting with transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment and tending or feeding machines or equipment used on the site.
• Removing rubble, debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites using basic equipment such as a shovel, broom, rake, and wheelbarrow.
• Assist with assembling, installing, or removing barricades, ramps, temporary structures, and scaffolding.
• Loading, unloading, and identifying building materials and ensuring that they are distributed to the appropriate locations.
• Combine and apply appropriate materials to various surfaces or areas, as per the instruction of the tradesperson.
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them inmoving equipment, and aid in other activities.
• Assist in demolishing structures using tools, sorting, cleaning, and packing salvaged materials.
• Operating and maintaining tools and equipment as instructed by tradesperson.
• Perform other activities at the work site as directed by the tradesperson or site manager.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of high school would be an asset. You are welcometo apply without any formal education.
• 6 months to one year of experience as a general constructionlaborer would be preferred.
• Willingness to undertake training if necessary.
• Physically fit
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
