Requirements
• Completion of diploma or certificate
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Clean criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector required
• Interpersonal skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
• Develops and maintains yearly, monthly, and daily instructional plans to support children's holistic development.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate teaching strategies (e.g., storytelling, songs, crafts) to support children's learning.
• Monitors children's development, documents observations, and prepares reports for parents/supervisors regarding progress or concerns.
• Develops effective working relationships with co-workers and community partners to support children's needs.
• Orders instructional equipment and supplies for classroom use.
• Attends departmental meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
• Maintains a safe learning environment (indoor/outdoor) and follows all safety protocols.
