Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking 2 general obstetrician-gynecologists. Our 190-bed community hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic laboratory and imaging support services. Recent updates to our Labour & Delivery and Postpartum floor, as well as Surgical Suites, ensure a contemporary and comfortable working environment. CMH is classified as a Level 2C hospital, specializing in the care of mothers and babies from 34 weeks gestational age and above, handling ~ 1500 deliveries annually. Duties:
• Covering the Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) Obstetrics & Gynecology service for labor/delivery, including managing the call groups patients and consultative obstetrics, gynecologic consultations (inpatient and emergency), emergency gynecologic surgeries
• Performing elective gynecologic operative procedures
• Providing office based obstetric and gynecologic care to the Cambridge community
Requirements:
• Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent
• Eligible for independent, unrestricted practice in Ontario as per the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ontario (CPSO)
• Residency training (FRCSC equivalent) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Completion of the Royal College Exam for Obstetrics & Gynecology (or equivalent)
• Advanced training or fellowship in minimally invasive surgery is considered an asset, proficiency in basic laparoscopic management of surgical emergencies is required
• Available to work minimum five on-call for 24-hour periods per month
• Technically proficient in management of obstetrical and gynecologic emergencies. Able to independently and safely manage labour and delivery unit.
• Good collaboration and communication skills within medical team.
