Job Description for Welder

Job Duties
- Analyze and interpret welding procedure specifications.
- Skillfully operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
- Analyze and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes as well as cut parts according to drawings.
- Assess welds to verify that they adhere to relevant standards and specifications.
- Proficiently operate both manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Efficiently operate brakes, shears, and a range of machines used for shaping, straightening, and bending metal.
- Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build industrial machinery and equipment, according to layouts, blueprints, and schematics, using hand and power tools.
- Assess the weldability of materials.
- Utilize pre-set welding machines to effectively fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
- Install fabricated components in final assemblies, including ensuring proper fit, alignment, and secure fastening, using welding and bolting techniques.
- Conduct maintenance and carry out minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school.
- At least 4-years of related experience is required.
- CWB Certification an Asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Salary: $38 - 40 per hour
Work Location: 7450 Lowland Dr, Unit 111, Burnaby, BC V5J 5A4, Canada.
The candidate is required to work at various locations across the lower mainland as per the company contracts.
Schedule: 6am to 4pm; 10 hours shift, Monday to Thursday
