We are looking for a well-experienced Catering Service Manager for the catering firm “Cleese Catering” located at 11 Carlaw Ave, Toronto, ON M4M 2R6, Canada.

Job Duties:
Oversee and coordinate daily catering service operations, including event scheduling, staffing assignments, inventory tracking, and equipment logistics to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
Plan, organize, and supervise the execution of catering services for various events, ensuring high-quality service and alignment with client expectations and event specifications.
Supervise and support front-of-house staff during events, maintaining high standards of service presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism at all client venues.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients at events, explaining menu options, answering inquiries, and ensuring customer needs are met with courtesy and accuracy.
Monitor and manage the flow of meal service at events, including timing, guest seating coordination, and issue resolution to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
Train, mentor, and lead catering staff, fostering a positive work environment focused on service excellence, teamwork, and compliance with company policies and food safety practices.
Apply frontline experience to train catering staff in best practices for taking accurate orders, recommending and upselling menu items, delivering prompt and attentive service, and maintaining professionalism under pressure during high-volume or time-sensitive events.
Respond to customer concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring quick and effective resolutions that maintain client satisfaction and uphold the company’s reputation.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety, health, and sanitation regulations, both in preparation areas and at off-site venues, in accordance with provincial standards.
Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and readiness of service areas, ensuring that dining spaces and food prep zones meet Cleese Catering’s quality and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with suppliers, event planners, and venue representatives to coordinate event logistics, including deliveries, setup, and special client requests.
May perform other duties reasonably assigned by management.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $54,000 to $ 58,000 annually for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
