Buildtech Contracting Inc. is hiring General Manager - Construction

Buildtech Contracting Inc., a licensed residential builder and residential & commercial construction contractor, was established to produce well-built places for people to enjoy living and working. We are providing our clients with exceptional products and services for their construction and renovation needs. As to expand our business developments, we are looking for a General Manager - Construction to lead our construction and technical teams.

Position: General Manager - Construction (NOC 00015)

Main duties:
• Set overall business goals and operational objectives for the company and help develop or approve key policies, procedures, and project plans.
• Organize and oversee core business functions, including project management, client relations, staffing, procurement, and financial tracking.
• Allocate company resources-labor, equipment, and finances-to support ongoing projects and ensure efficient operations; monitor budgets and control expenditures to maintain profitability.
• Hire and manage staff, including site workers, administrative personnel, and subcontractors, as needed; oversee workforce planning and scheduling.
• Coordinate daily operations across various functions such as site supervision, project scheduling, customer service, and compliance with safety and building regulations.
• Represent the company in meetings with clients, suppliers, government inspectors, and other stakeholders; handle negotiations, contracts, and other official communications.

Qualifications:
• A university degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Minimum of two years of experience in a middle management role within the construction industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of current construction industry trends, building technologies, safety codes, and regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise small teams and subcontractors
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities, including budget oversight and scheduling
• Proven analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder coordination

Annual Salary: $163,800 (30 hours per week)
