Position: Purchasing Officer
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Purchasing Officer to lead our purchasing operations. This individual will play a key role in sourcing suppliers, managing procurement, and coordinating logistics to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
•Supplier Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify and develop relationships with reliable Vietnamese food suppliers, emphasizing high product quality and competitive pricing.
•Private Label Procurement: Manage procurement for private label products, ensuring all items meet client and retailer specifications.
•Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination: Monitor inventory levels of coconut water and other products across retail channels in North America to avoid shortages or excess stock.
•Cost & Quality Control: Analyze market conditions and supplier options to maintain Thabico's premium standards while optimizing cost.
•Logistics Oversight: Work closely with logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery to retail stores and distribution centers.
•Compliance & Documentation: Keep thorough records of purchases, supplier contracts, and certifications related to food safety and import regulations.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
•Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
•Strong knowledge of Vietnamese food products and supplier networks
•Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
