The store manager position contributes to the success of City Avenue Market by allowing us to run business smoothly, keep organized the inventory and communicate with frontline employees and inhouse supervisors.
Title of position: Store Manager
Location:2279 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, British Columbia, V5N 4B6
Wage: $41.00 / hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Vacancies: 1 vacancy
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Hours of work: 30 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
Main job duties include:
Provide superior customer service and deal with customers complaints or concerns
Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies
Plan, order, and process grocery products according to work plans and standards to maximize sales and gross profit.
Receive all incoming products and inspect the items for freshness and quality and reconcile products received with packing slips, purchase orders, invoices, claim forms, etc.
Determine staffing requirements and hire or oversee hiring of staff.
Ensure all new department associates receive proper training and supervision and will ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and building of displays
Manage staff, assign duties, Schedule staff and verify attendance and payroll records
Develop and implement marketing strategies
We are looking for someone with the following skills:
Secondary school certificate or equivalent experience;
Supervisory or Managerial experience is considered an asset;
Must be able to lead support and contribute to team goals;
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude;
Strong knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques;
Well organized and excellent at multi-tasking;
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Minimum experience: 2 years’ related experience
