  Description :  
• Work within and support the ISO 9001 quality system.
• Create work instructions that allow production team members to understand expectations
• Work with Production Operators to ensure all have a clear understanding of work instructions & quality expectations
• Support internal team members, suppliers & customers to ensure the successful startup and PPAP of both automotive & non-automotive parts.
• Prepare First-Off, Last-Off and final inspection on production run.
• Support and create quality core documentations such as Control Plan, PFMEA, Process Flow Charts with operational team.
• Liaison with internal and external customer and suppliers as required to support daily manufacturing operations.
• Respond and react to internal and external customer's quality concerns.
Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
• Create analysis reports for containment and initiate, support improvement to eliminate inspection
• Perform department audits (Inspect weekly checklist)
• Participate in APQP as required
• Provide operator training
• Assist Quality Manager in 8D process
• May be required to travel to customers facilities
• Prepare all necessary quality and production documentation
• Special projects as required


Job Requirements:
• Completion of a two- or three-year college program or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering technology or Quality Engineering is required.
• GDT
• 4 years plus Quality Assurance experience in automotive OEM or equivalent (ie: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, GR&R, Control)
Knowledge of problem solving / process improvement techniques (ie: 8D, 7 steps, 5 why)
Have experience and/or knowledge of the statistical process control tools and six sigma tools.
• Blueprint reading skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to use basic metrology measurement instruments
• Have hands on experience using MICRONITE system/software
• Understanding of Microsoft products; strong computer skills
• Strong organizational, analytical & communication skills
• Detail oriented & the ability to handle multiple projects at one time
• Ability to communicate professionally and properly via email & phone with internal & external customers and/or suppliers.
Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers
