Position Summary
We are seeking a Permanent Full Time Clinical Dietitian at South Okanagan General Hospital in Oliver, BC.
Days of work: Monday to Friday, Days
Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00
This position encompasses acute care, home health and CDM within Oliver and Osoyoos. Restricted Activity A is required.

What will you work on?
Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition
assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and
education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource
to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.
The Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.
The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/client/resident care issues and menu
development.

Surrounded by picturesque orchards, forests, vineyards and mountains, Oliver is an ideal location for outdoor recreational pursuits. Given the abundance of lakes in the area, water sports, including water-skiing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing are very popular. Qualfications
• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
• One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
• Valid BC Driver’s License.
• Reserved Acts A is required.
