Job Requirements and Skills:
- Two years of experience in construction including one year of experience assisting a Carpenter.
- Not afraid of working at heights, and has worked on roofs before.
- Experience using power tools such as skill saw and table saw.
- Experience using hand tools and carpentry equipment
- Ability to lift 75 +pounds, bend, squat, crouch, kneel and climb stairs consistently throughout the day.
- Positive and collaborative attitude.
Job Duties
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
