Drywall Finisher Specific Skills:
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings.
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corner.
• Press paper and filling joints, holes and cracks with compound using a towel and broad knife.
• Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air-conditioning units, and plumbing.
• Spread sealing compound between boards or panels or over cracks, holes, nail heads, or screw heads, using trowels, broad knives, or spatulas.
• Apply additional coats to fill in holes and make surfaces smooth.
• Remove extra compound after surfaces have been covered sufficiently.
