Job Requirements:
• Language: English
• A university degree or college diploma in a business administration
related field or equivalent work experience is required.
• Supply chain management experience is an asset
• 3+ years of purchasing-related experience is an asset
• Solid knowledge in the fundamentals of the purchasing lifecycle is
required
• Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
• Service oriented, well organized, and detail-oriented
Job Responsibilities:
• Research potential suppliers and vendors; obtain, compare and evaluate
quotations from suppliers and vendors
• Ensure materials, products and supplies meet required technical
specifications
• Negotiate pricing and the contractual terms of agreements to ensure cost
savings
• Create, manage, and release purchase orders to suppliers and vendors in
accordance with company procedures
• Coordinate and track orders and ensure timely deliveries
• Coordinate with staff to ensure the proper storage of materials, products
and supplies as needed
• Ensure that purchased materials, products and supplies are as advertised
and abide by the contractual terms; monitor supplier performance,
identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans as
necessary
• Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal
databases
• Maintain updated records of quotations, purchased materials, products and
supplies, delivery information, and invoices
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
• Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders as needed
• Develop and maintain supplier and vendor relationships and contact lists
