Urban Alpine, located in Squamish, British Columbia, is a ski and snowboard mountain lifestyle shop for all of your skiing and snowboarding needs including retail, rentals, bootfitting and a full service tech shop. We are currently recruiting for the position of Rental and Retail Supervisor.
The Rental and Retail Supervisor will oversee the rental sales team
Job duties:
• Supervise, coordinate and assign duties to rental and sales staff;
• Communicate daily sales targets to the team and help motivate the team members to meet or exceed sales goals;
• Manage rental inventory to ensure the fleet is well maintained and tuned for rental customers, repair or replace any damaged equipment and note any rental inventory shortages that need replenishment.
• Authorize / process payments in rental and retail POS systems
• Authorize refunds in rental and retail POS systems
• Resolve issues that arise such customer requests, complaints, inventory shortages, damage to equipment.
• Ensure excellent customer service is being provided at all times.
• Provide software support for customers requiring rentals.
• Train new staff on rental and sales processes, proper customer service, and software.
• Report on staff performance.
• Open and close the store.
• Assist with merchandising and ensure visual standards and cleanliness of the store are maintained in line with company standards.
• Sign for deliveries and receive product.
• May be required to assist with some managerial duties in the absence of the store manager.
• May perform the same duties as those being supervised, when required.
Requirements:
• At least one year of experience with ski rentals.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service.
• Experience as a skier/snowboarder to understand equipment and needs of customers.
Additional information:
• This is a full-time (40 hours per week) permanent position.
• Work schedule: Monday to Thursday (4 x 10 hour shifts).
