Wage rate: $28.50 / hour, 40 hours/ week
Work Location: Various locations all over lower mainland
Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
Education: High School
Work experience: 3 to 4 years of experience is required
Language: Basic English
Job Duties:
? Reading blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
? Measuring, cutting and fitting drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
? Trimming rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints.
? Cutting and installing horizontal and vertical metal or wooden studs for attachment of wallboard on interior walls.
? Filling joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
? Taping over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
? Fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold temperature.
Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Large workload, physically demanding, Tight deadlines, Bending, crouching, kneeling
