Job Description:
Handling animals
Show horse preparation
Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
Maintain horses’ performance records
Train horses
Maintain work records and logs
Detect possible diseases and health problems in horses
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience training horses is required.
- Personal Suitability: Organized, Team player, Flexibility, Reliability, Quick learner
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Weight handling up to 45 kg
- Language: Basic English is required.
- Area of Specialization: Horses
Salary: $18 hourly. 30 - 48 hours per week.
Benefits: Transportation costs covered if workers needs to relocate. Accommodation costs covered by the employer.
Important Information:
Flexibility in schedule is required. The employee will work 6-8 hours per day, from 8:30am to 5:30pm, the work schedule will vary depending on the business needs. 1-2 days off provided on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required depending on the business’ needs.
