? Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) in their daily tasks.
• Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris, hazardous materials, and ensuring all tools and equipment are available and in working order.
• Load and unload construction materials, and move them to work areas.
• Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
• Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.
• Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
• Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles.
• Dig pits, trenches, and foundations in preparation for job site construction.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g., digging, stacking up bricks).
• Comply with all health and safety regulations on the construction site.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the project.
? Education: Secondary High School graduation certificate or equivalent experience
? Language: English
? Work setting: Construction, Various locations, Renovation, Commercial, Industrial
Residential Work in employer's/client's home
? Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots; Safety glasses/goggles; Gloves; Ear plugs
? Experience: Experience an asset
? Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Work with minimal supervision, Hand-eye co-ordination
