Job Duties
• Develop, modify, integrate and test code that is scalable, adaptable, and easy to maintain, enabling us to expedite the delivery of our click and cook solutions.
• Responsible for designing and monitoring the internal and customer facing programs to oversee the standards, safety and the entire digital experience, and pinpoint opportunities to enhance every phase (sign up, food production, fulfillment, and support).
• Collaborate with the food production and engineering team to plan, structure, and deploy automated tools used to solve large scale tasks.
• Track and improve the performance of the solutions implemented based on the feedback loops and the solutions used by internal production and engineering teams.
• Participate in planning, and engage in discussion of product roadmaps, new features, and fixes.
• Responsible for performing peer code reviews and participate in team retrospectives.
• Diagnose, test, and reproduce bugs issues.
Minimum Qualifications
• A post-secondary diploma/ degree in computer science, web development, systems engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as web developer.
Desired Skills
• Agile development experience, and a solid experience and understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Database administration and test automation.
• Experience building progressive Web applications.
• DevOps concepts like Continuous Integration and Configuration management.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker.
• Attention to detail and team oriented.
• Understanding of a backend frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Node.js.
• Familiarity with MVC, JAMstack and RESTful.
• Some Experience with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript (ES6), Vue.js, HTML 5, and CSS3.
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes using Postgres.
• Comfortable with UNIX command line.
• Comfortable writing tests – RSpec.
• experience and understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: $85,000 annually.
Work Location: 188 Victoria Drive, Vancouver, BC V5L 4C3, Canada.
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
