Position: Retail Meat Cutter (NOC 65202)
Description: Meat cutters prepare and package pieces of meat, poultry and fish that are sold by food retailers or wholesalers. They use tools to cut, trim and package meat, poultry, and fish on a daily basis.
Job Location: Brampton, ON
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience: some experience but will train.
Number of openings: 2
Wage: $22/hr
Language: English is required.
Job Duties:
Cut, trim, and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat, and poultry for sale.
Grind meat and slice cooked meat using grinders and slicing machines.
Prepare special displays of meat, poultry, and fish.
Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats, poultry, or fish
Manage inventory, keep records of sales, and determine amount, product line and freshness of products, maintain equipment and work area according to company and customer requirements.
Ensure food storage conditions are adequate.
