Job Description:

Nirvana Canada is expanding its operations and looking for a full-time permanent Marketing Director. The Director of Marketing is responsible to execute key marketing initiatives at Nirvana Canada. You will manage digital marketing initiatives, along with other marketing programs (e.g., print projects) to build our brand in the Vancouver Island Region. You'll develop measurable media strategies and annual calendars for our email, social and advertising platforms that grow our brand. You sit comfortably at the intersection of data and creative intuition; while you have a strong creative eye, you're also good at thinking analytically and making data driven decisions. The role is ideal for a candidate who is willing to grow across various marketing disciplines for a brand poised for greater national exposure. You will have an opportunity to manage your team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

~ Lead digital marketing strategy, and plan marketing calendars (e.g., email)
~ Responsible for executing on digital and print media marketing programs, to drive product velocity, working closely with the Sales team
~ Overseeing the firm's brand identity and ensuring consistency across all marketing efforts..
~ Create high performing, creative marketing campaigns like email campaigns and social collaborations (paid and unpaid), with the ability to drive ever-improving results and build brand value
~ Manage and collaborate with a roster of external Creative Leads, Partners and Agencies.
~ Write clear creative briefs and work with the Creative Leads through production, to create high performing assets that meet our goals.
~ Where necessary, plan and draft simple marketing collateral including event brochures, website copy, etc
~ Define campaigns with an experimental mindset - define metrics, document, and communicate results and learnings.
~ Managing digital advertising campaigns, including pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, display advertising, and remarketing campaigns.
~ Working closely with the sales team to align marketing strategies with sales objectives and collaborating with the IT team to implement technical aspects of marketing campaigns.
~ Consistently make recommendations to optimize our marketing spend
~ Conduct analysis such as competitive analysis and business research to develop insights about our customers and competitors and benchmarking best practices in media to identify and implement new approaches and channels for growing brand awareness
~ Support events, where necessary
~ Developing and managing the marketing budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
~ Building and maintaining relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

~ A Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or related field
~ Several years of relevant work experience in marketing/performance marketing/strategy, preferably for a technology company


ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED

~ Experience with data-driven marketing campaigns preferably on a technology platform
~ Strong creative eye and experience with authoring creative briefs and managing external creative partners and consultants
~Strong ability to deliver powerful marketing campaigns and creative assets
~Strong intellectual curiosity and capabilities; has a growth mindset. Creative in finding solutions
~Strong attention to detail
~Strong communication skills.
~Create and deliver clear and compelling presentations to stakeholders
