Job Description:
We're seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in transportation or logistics, with strong proficiency in database management, computer programs, and Office operations. This role involves a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage telephone, in-person, or electronic inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
* Draft and prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other necessary documents.
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail, both manually and electronically.
* Maintain office supplies inventory, place orders as needed, and manage office equipment maintenance.
* Assist with administrative procedures, including budgeting, contract administration, and scheduling.
* Perform accurate data entry and maintain impeccable records on 3rd party logistics systems.
* Analyze historical data and trends, using that information to guide future planning.
* Develop and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions that allow for a more efficient and streamlined process.
* Evaluate current transportation processes and systems and identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
* Conduct basic bookkeeping tasks, invoice preparation, and bank deposits.

Qualifications:
* Previous experience in transportation or logistics is highly preferred.
* Proficiency in database management and various computer programs (MS Office, Google Suite).
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Experience with third-party logistics software is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and administrative practices.
* Strong understanding of logistics operations and attention to detail.
