Salary: $26.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required
- 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a cook or a chef in a restaurant is required
Job duties:
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis;
- Prepare, cook, and present the following Japanese dishes: sashimi, sushi, Aburi(blow-torched sushi), Oshizushi (pressed sushi), sushi roll; hot and cold appetizers such as miso soup and salad; deep fried dishes such as Nanban and Agedashi; and grilled fish collar;
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff;
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
- Create new recipes;
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food;
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions;
- Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs;
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory;
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
