Franchise Management Inc. (FMI) is one of the largest Franchise Operators in North America, owning and operating several stores of Panera Bread among other fast-food stores such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Burger King across different provinces and states.

FMI Better Bread Company Inc. has embarked on a major expansion for their Panera Bread restaurants in Ontario. The business address is 417, Connell Street Woodstock New Brunswick E7M 5G5. We are currently hiring a Shift Manager at our Panera Bread store at Oakville in Ontario.


Employment requirements
• Secondary School
• 6 – 12 months of supervisory work experience in food preparation or service is required
OR Any other relevant equivalent qualification
• Available to work on flexible shifts, nights and week-ends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Self-motivated, active team player and demonstrates initiative
• Results/service oriented
• Excellent work ethic and demonstrates integrity
• Ability to lift weight up to 50 pounds
• Administrative ability
• Thorough knowledge of all store equipment (including but not limited to cash registers, food preparation equipment, etc.), and of relevant policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills – written and verbal
• Language: English


Duties & Responsibilities
• Willing to work a position on the floor while coaching the team to achieve daily KPIs.
• Supervise, motivate and train team members with their tasks and responsibilities, sanitation and safety procedures;
• Plan, establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate the day-to-day activities of team members;
• Provide positive recognition and corrective coaching when appropriate;
• Provide input to RGM when performance issues arise;
• Ensure team members provide the highest possible level of customer satisfaction through service and product quality;
• Assist team members with tasks as needed to ensure complete customer satisfaction;
• Initiate necessary actions to correct customer complaints and escalate any major issues to RGM;
• Ensure team members are properly executing current promotions and new products during the shift;
• Ensure team member uniforms and appearances are neat, professional, clean at all times and meet necessary requirements;
• Ensure proper staffing and deployment throughout the shift to match business needs;
• Monitors, keep records and maintains correct inventory levels (product & supply) and notifies management when levels are low;
• Assists with ordering of ingredients and supplies as assigned;
• Ensure restaurant is ready for peak revenue periods by utilizing appropriate planning and projection tools;
• Assists in ensuring sales and profit targets are met;
• Ensure Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes and corporate safety/security policies and procedures are met and followed;
• Respond to emergency situations as required and communicate to management immediately;
• Assist in recruiting and selecting qualified, high energy team members using approved tools and systems;
• Assist with the communication and administration of company policies;
• Ensure proper communication takes place during shift change;
• All other management duties as assigned.


Wage
$17.55 per hour
