Assisting the store manager in all areas of daily business operations, human resources, customer service and merchandising.
Coordinating, monitoring and reporting on daily operations.
Recruiting, training and supervising employees.
Managing employee schedules, conducting performance reviews and enforcing disciplinary actions.
Monitoring and maintaining suitable store inventory levels.
Assisting with the development of new sales and recruitment strategies.
Ensuring the store environment complies with health and safety regulations.
Maintaining a clean, organized and aesthetically pleasing storefront.
Serves customers by training staff and purchasing and displaying products.
Trains store staff by reviewing and revising sales training materials, delivering training sessions, reviewing job performance
Evaluates competition by visiting competing stores to gather information about attributes, such as style, quality, presentation, and pricing of competitive merchandise.
Purchases inventory by researching emerging products, anticipating buyer interest, negotiating volume price breaks, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of orders.
Qualifications:
Completion of secondary school or diploma.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a retail salesperson or sales clerk, cashier, telemarketer, or door-to-door salesperson.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating creativity and meeting challenging schedules.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards.
Positive, proactive, and collaborative team player.
