Job Description:
Sonic Logistics Inc., located at 13055 60 Ave, Surrey, BC, V3X 2L6 urgently requires one Full time/ Permanent Long-Haul Truck Driver to join operations immediately. We welcome and encourage Youth, New immigrants, and Aboriginal people to apply.
Job Duties:
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks weighing over 4500 Kg with three or more axles, to transport goods and materials to destinations.
• Maintain condition of equipment and ensure loading and unloading and safety and security of cargo.
• Pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes and cold storage.
• Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in a log book.
• Willing to travel across borders, Willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel overnight , willing to travel and drive as a team.
• Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using two-way radio, cellular telephone.
Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of High School is required.
Experience: No experience is required and on job training will be provided.
Language: Basic English is required.
Number of Positions: 1
Wage: $29.00/hour for 40 hours per week along with 4% Vacation pay.
