Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as TamilNadu/ South-Indian specialist chef, or chef is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the commercial food preparation field, including at least two years in a management/ supervisory role.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and curate menus ensuring that all food consistently meets our TamilNadu/ South-indian cuisine speciality and stringent quality standards.
• Plan and direct the TamilNadu/ South-indian food preparation for other Chefs/ Cooks.
• If there is a Catering or Wedding, Banquet Order, coordinate with clients to create customized menus ensuring their specific preferences and dietary needs are met.
• Must estimate the food quantity, the associated food and labor costs to optimize resource allocation and budgeting.
• Supervise and provide guidance to specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks, ensuring their adherence to our recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation techniques.
• Facilitate equipment purchases and coordinate repairs as necessary to maintain a well-functioning and efficient kitchen operation.
• Recruit, hire, and train culinary staff, ensuring that the team is skilled, knowledgeable, and capable of meeting our high standards.
• Occasionally prepare and cook food on a regular basis or as and when needed.
