As a Hairstylist your job description would be as follows: Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair, Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features or determine style from client's instructions and preferences, Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair, Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
Education: Secondary school required. Completion of a program in hairstyling is an asset.
Experience requirements: Atleast 2 years of related work experience
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods
Essential Skills: Excellent oral communication, Reliability, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills, Client focus Additional Skills Book appointments, Shampoo customers' hair, Supervise other hair stylists and other staff, Perform receptionist duties, Maintain and order supplies Barber Specific Skills Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences, Provide other hair treatment, and also provide scalp conditioning massages Hair Colouring Techniques Bleach, Dyes/tints, Streaking/highlights Hair Styling Techniques Blow drying, Spiking
Language Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English
Salary: $ 18.00 hourly for 30-40 hours per week
