JOB TITLE: Supervisor, heavy equipment mechanics (NOC 72020)

POSITION TYPE: Permanent – Full Time (40 hours per week)
SCHEDULE: Day, Overtime
WAGE: $42.63 to $44.00 per hour (to be negotiated) with overtime paid at statutory rates. Incremental wage increases based on company policy.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Direct and delegate effectively to the service staff
Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who repair and maintain heavy equipment
Oversee all planning, administration and general management issues, including the day-to-day supervision of staff
Oversee work organized by team leaders and direct reports
Maintain a high level of integrity as signing authority for items such as internal work orders
Ensure bottom line profitability for Services
Work to develop solutions to departmental personnel turnover, including anticipatory needs
Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment is maintained at the highest level
Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity
Train or arrange for training of workers
Identify and assess customer needs to achieve high satisfaction
Create a motivating team environment with a culture of open communication
Job Requirements and Qualifications Include:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Journeyman/woman trade certification in a relevant trade is required
2-3 years of Supervisory role in agriculture mechanics, heavy duty mechanic or diesel mechanic experience
Knowledge of technical aspects of Heavy and agriculture and materials handling industries and equipment
