Avid Law Corporation Seeking a Legal Assistant
Location: Richmond, BC
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:
Drafting a variety of legal documents including wills, deeds, affidavits, and briefs, starting from rough drafts, shorthand, or dictation.
Ensuring all documents and correspondence are accurate and comply with legal standards and grammatical rules.
Organizing schedules for legal staff, including setting up meetings, appointments, and conferences.
Managing and maintaining confidential and sensitive legal files and records.
Distributing incoming correspondence, including electronic communication, and managing internal information flow.
Implementing and overseeing office procedures and routines to ensure efficiency.
Training new staff in office procedures and software.

Qualifications:
Completion of secondary school is an asset.
2 years experience as a legal assistant or similar role.
Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols.
Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (case management software, etc.).
Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
Legal Assistant certification or diploma preferred.
