Position: Carpenter Supervisor
MV Castillo Painting Corporation is one of the highly reputed companies in Ottawa region, Ontario specializing in residential construction, repairing of establishments like mills, hospitals, mines, industrial plans. In order to diversify our portfolio, workforce and to supervisor all the carpenters, and construction laborer’s we urgently require two full time Carpenter Supervisor for our high skilled development projects. Previous experience in construction, repairing of hardware or carpentry is an asset.

Experience

Credentials (education, certificates, diploma)
• Senior Secondary high school graduate certificate
Specific Skills Required
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Plans, lays out, schedules, assigns, supervises, and inspects the work of one or more crews of Carpenters, helpers, and other employees;
- Inspects structures and furnishings to determine needed repairs or the practicality of proposed changes;
- Prepares cost estimates and materials lists.
- Interprets instructions, plans, and blueprints for subordinates; Requisitions materials.
- Coordinates the work of Carpenter crews with that of other trades working on the same job;
- Ensures that safe working conditions exist.
- Train and arrange worker schedules and coordinate activities with departments.
