Position: Renovation Carpenter
C&G Painting and Decorating Inc in one of the highly reputed companies in Ottawa region, Ontario specializing in construction and renovation of residential buildings and work for major builders in Ottawa. In order to diversify our portfolio and workforce, we urgently require three full time Renovation Carpenter for our high skilled development projects. Previous experience in home construction and safety training is an asset. Previous experience in construction, repairing of hardware or carpentry is an asset

Experience

Credentials (education, certificates, diploma)
• Senior Secondary high school graduate certificate
Specific Skills Required
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- Supervise apprentices and other construction workers
- May prepare cost estimates for clients.
