Job Summary:
Prepare or assist in preparation estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications;
Collaborate in advising on project/tender procedures, examine and analyze projects/tender , recommend project/tender awards and conduct negotiations;
Establish and maintain project process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures;
Prepare or assist in preparation of cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project;
Identify material and subcontractor requirements by studying blueprints, soils reports, specifications, and related project documents;
Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates;
Coordinate and conduct construction site inspections, preparing progress reports for construction projects.
Salary: $33.00 per hour
Hours:35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per annum

Job Requirements:
Education:bachelor or colllege in civil Engineering, construction engineering technology or Architectural Technolog
Experience: Must have a minimum of one year in civil Engineering, construction field
Required Skills:
Strong time management skills,
Excellent written, oral, organizational and communication skills.
Hands on experience with flow charts, spreadsheets, technical documentation (blueprints/specs)
Working knowledge of ms outlook, word and proficiency in Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations and measurements
strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
