DRIFTWOOD RESTAURANT LTD. was founded in Nanaimo, BC, and is the leading restaurant of the Driftwood Restaurant Group on Vancouver Island. Driftwood Group is a restaurant conglomerate currently operating seven restaurants on Vancouver Island, including six Driftwood-branded Chinese restaurants and one Western cuisine restaurant, with a staff of over 130 employees and plans to expand to ten restaurants in the next 2-3 years while establishing its headquarters in Nanaimo.

The restaurant now is offering dine-in, takeout and delivery services. In line with our strategic growth plan, we are actively seeking a dedicated IT Specialist to analyze, select, implement, and support IT solutions that efficiently meet the operational needs of a growing multi-site restaurant group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyze the current systems and propose customized improvements to enhance performance and efficiency
• Provide guidance on strategies, policies, management, security, and service delivery related to information systems
• Identify and document business IT requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and clearly confer these business needs with restaurant management software vendors for customization and implementation of software systems
• Independently design, formulate, integrate, test, and establish various softwares and IT tools that suitable for the business needs
• Act as a mediator between the business stakeholders, software suppliers, and internal and external users
• Ensure the successful integration and implementation of software systems, and conduct testing to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of system changes and enhancements
• Provide ongoing maintenance and user support for the IT system, software and IT tools.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration or related majors.
• 2-3 years of experience in software project management or business systems analysis.
• Proficient in business process analysis.
• Ability to elicit and document software requirements.
• Understanding of software development process, able to communicate effectively with development teams.
• Experience with implementing ERP, CRM systems a plus.
• Certification in project management or business analysis preferred.
