Job Description
Animasia BC is looking for an Executive Producer to oversee the development, servicing, distribution, and production of animated films, TV shows, commercials and other types of animation. The executive producer will oversee both internal projects and service work for clients. They will be expected to work effectively with our team of animators, artists, writers and other creative professionals to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. The executive producer will also be involved in developing new ideas for projects, putting together business plans and proposals and pitching them to potential partners, investors, and distributors.
This person will be responsible for new business development including exploring new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with strategic partners in other media platforms.
Job Responsibilities include:
Managing and coordinating projects across multiple studios based in North America and Asia
Identifying and developing relationships with potential vendor studios to assist in production related matters
Looking for opportunities to finance productions/fund projects or work as partners
Structuring cross border co-production and co-financing of animated projects
Identifying potential distribution partners in Asia
Working closely with the creative team to make sure the project meets all quality standards
Managing budgets, schedules, and deadlines to ensure that projects are completed on time
Regular calls with clients to ensure continuity and transparency of Producer reporting, and that high delivery service is maintained
Establishing and monitoring production schedules
Accountable for quota & schedule achievement, ensuring schedules are competently planned and executed
Establishing SOP and ensuring high quality standards are maintained across all projects
Establishing SOP with vendors to ensure deliverables are met
Putting together proposals, budgets and schedules for internal external projects.
Qualifications
6+ Years Experience as an Executive Producer
6 + Years Experience developing concepts and properties
6+ Years Client Facing experience
6+ years production finance experience
Demonstrated experience in negotiating with financial backers to get funding for projects
Proven history of cultivating good relationships with clients and vendors
Ability to travel to vendor studios to assist in production related matters
