Job Description
Position: English Language Education Officer
Working Location: 525 Dunsmuir St, Vancouver BC V6B 1Y4
Position Available: 1 Vacancy
Language at work: English
Types: Full-time and permanent
Wage: $35.00– 38.00 per hour
Working hours: 35-40 hours per week

Job Duties:
• Strategizing, implementing and overall management of English languages programs in our college
• Developing annual goals and objectives consistent with and in support of college goals and priorities
• Creating budgets for program expenditures and working closely with other colleagues in developing, maintaining and ensuring adherence to budgets
• Conducting program reviews and preparing reports about program development and ongoing activities
• Arranging and directing ongoing professional development activities for the staff
• Investigating and gathering resources that aid in the implementation of teaching plans
• Coordinating and implementing the process for the selection of instructional materials or other resources for language programs
• Ensuring that approved curricula are fully operational
• Maintain and manage all files, records, resources and information for the program, following the college’s policy
• Preparing meeting agendas, organizing meetings and distributing minutes
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred
• Three years of work experience in a similar position in the education field
• TEFL or TESOL certificate (highly recommended)
• The second language is an asset (such as French, Japanese, or Spanish…)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytic and research abilities
• Be able to solve problems independently
• Team Player with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
• Flexible and easily adaptable to change
