Description

Student Position for Summer 2024

**To be considered for this position, you must currently be a student attending a post-secondary education, who is returning to school in Fall 2024.**

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Service, this position is responsible to assist Insurance and Research and Development agrologists in the delivery of a number of field research projects that relate to adjusting procedures as well as assist adjusters in the completion of customer inspections, including identifying crop disease, insect damage and other causes of loss.
Description for Internal Candidates    
**To be considered for this position, you must currently be a student attending a post-secondary institution, who is returning to school in Fall 2024, or have recently completed your post-secondary education (winter 2024, spring 2024).**

What you'll do:

Report to the Manager of Customer Service
Assist Insurance and Research and Development agrologists in the delivery of a number of field research projects that relate to adjusting procedures.
Assist adjusters in the completion of customer inspections, including identifying crop disease, insect damage and other causes of loss.
Complete field inspections and detailed plant counts, ensuring inspection documents are completed neatly and accurately.
Measure bins and acreages accurately.
Update agronomy resource manual.
Prepare adjuster work within the customer system, as assigned by the Manager.
Answer customer inquiries made directly to the office on programs delivered by SCIC in a timely manner.
Contact producers for the purpose of gathering information or conducting projects.
Complete miscellaneous clerical duties such as correspondence, reports, batching, mail, filing, supply need identification and requisition, as required.
Travel extensively as required.
Be a contributing member to the Insurance team.
