Cambie Montessori Children Centre is a Vancouver-based daycare facility. Our team comprises welcoming individuals, including licensed educators, committed to ensuring the safety, engagement, and enjoyment of children as they learn and have fun in our center.
We are currently seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to become part of our team. This role involves spearheading activities, fostering the educational and personal development of children, all while maintaining a positive, secure, and enjoyable atmosphere.
Duties of the Early Childhood Educator include:
• Teach and follow a daily routine
• Adapt the program to suit the needs of the individual child or group
• Plan innovative ways of keeping children actively engaged
• Impart knowledge to children through fun and play
• Ensure the social and emotional growth of the child
• Address the physical needs of the individual child or group
• Compose detailed reports for parents
• Respect the culture of all children and staff
• Meet with The Head of Department and principal on a regular basis
• Adhere to guidelines of the regulation or laws
Requirements for the role:
• Completion of a college or bachelor’s program in early childhood education is required
• Early Childhood Educator license is required
• Related work experience is a great asset
• Work independently
• Physically demanding, including bending, crouching, kneeling
