Job Duties:
• Preparing, editing, and proofreading a variety of documents related to immigration.
• Managing the flow of information within the organization, including opening and distributing incoming mail and coordinating with other departments.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments and meetings.
• Ordering office supplies and keeping track of inventory.
• Answering telephone and electronic inquiries, as well as relaying messages, would be part of your daily tasks.
• Maintaining computerized information filing systems related to immigration applications and clients.
• Identifying flaws and improvising the current office procedures.
• Greeting visitors, determining the purpose of their visit, and directing them to the appropriate person.
• You would be expected to record and prepare minutes of client meetings.
• In some cases, you may be asked to compile data and statistics to support research activities related to immigration trends.
• Supervising and training office staff in procedures and the use of current software for immigration services.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school would be an asset but not mandatory
• Completion of a program for secretaries or legal secretaries would be preferred but you are welcome to apply if you do not have this.
• A desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
