Job Title: Retail Butcher
Number of Vacancies: 2
Work Location: #170-8180 No. 2 Road, Richmond BC V7C5K1
Term of employment: Full-time, permanent with 35-40 hours per week.
Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings
Compensation: $20.50 per hour, overtime at the rate of 1.5 times after 8 hours per day/40 hours per week
Benefits:
. Vacation Pay: 4% vacation pay
. Other benefits: As per employment standards
Job Responsibilities:
. Clean, Cut, trim, grind, remove bone, and prepare custom and standard cuts of meats, poultry, fish, and shellfish.
. Weigh, wrap, portion, and package meats to specification or as per customer’s order
. Prepare meat, poultry, and fish products for a special display and ensure it’s well presented.
. Keep records of sales and top-selling products and manage inventory on the basis of the data to maintain the freshness and quality of meats.
. Ensure proper meat storage procedures are being followed.
. Ensure conformance to food, health, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Skills Requirements:
. Education: Completion of secondary school.
. Experience: No experience is necessary, on-the-job training will be provided.
. Language Requirements: English.
