Job Duties:
• Drive and operate truck-trailer as a team for long haul deliveries.
• Follow hours of service regulations (E-Logs).
• Promptly deliver customer freight and update dispatch on ETA’s.
• Plan trip logistics in advance.
• Ensure that proper documentation of goods is prepared before leaving the yard.
• Record the trip details, fuel consumption, and driven miles to match with our system.
• Keep safety at heart and perform a thorough pre-trip inspection before leaving the yard.
• Perform in-route inspection after scheduled intervals to maintain road safety and Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements.
• Maintain contact with the dispatcher, colleague drivers, and customers via onboard communication devices.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of high school is preferred
• Class 1 Driver’s License
• Experience in long-haul truck driving will be an asset
• On-the-job training will be provided
