We are currently looking for a Medical Lab Assistant to support our medical laboratory’s research and diagnostic efforts.
Job Duties:
1.Assisting and supporting complex biomedical research and experiments.
2.Collecting, organizing and labeling specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples, using appropriate collection methods and equipment.
3.Operating and maintaining, automated laboratory equipment and computerized instruments.
4.Preparing and processing specimens for laboratory analysis, such as centrifugation, separating serum or plasma from blood, and labeling specimens with the correct client information.
5.Recording, organizing, and interpreting experimental data and results accurately.
6.Preparing and ensuring an adequate inventory of reagents, buffers, and culture media.
7.Adhering strictly to laboratory safety guidelines, protocols, and ethical standards. Maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory.
8.Creating visual aids, data charts, graphs, and illustrations for potential research publications.
9.Communicating effectively with team members to provide timely updates on experiment progress and results.
Qualifications:
1.Completion of a college diploma in medical laboratory science or equivalent related experience working in healthcare or biotech industry is required.
2.Prior experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in biomedical research is preferred.
3.Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, including specimen processing, cell culture, and molecular analysis.
4.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5.Ability to manage tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
6.Ability to maintain high standards of data privacy and confidentiality.
