Wage Rate: $30 Hourly, for 37.50 Hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day
Education: High School
Experience: Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program or A combination of over three years of work experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in welding is required
Languages: English
Type of Industry Experience: Trucking
Job Duties:
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brazing and soldering equipment
• Interpret welding process specifications
• Determine weldability of materials
• Operate previous welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding
• Performing welding related repairs on the chassis, trucks, and trailers
• Examine the equipment after welding and advise maintenance of defects
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
• Plan/set up of welding operations accordingly
