Job Duties:
• Hire, train, schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
• Oversee kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals according to customer preferences.
• May specialize in preparing and cooking ethnic cuisine or special dishes such as curry.
• Maintain and monitor inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions as well as estimate food requirements and costs.
• Clean kitchen and work areas.
