As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking dedicated and passionate farm supervisor to join our team. As a farm supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading our team and upholding high standards. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the farming industry, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing and motivating a team.
Job duties and Responsibilities as farm supervisor:
• Providing nurturing agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting, tending to crop and livestock.
• To help with the creation and execution of measures to ensure sfafety of staff.
• Ensure that the company's workforce is capable, competent, and equipped with the necessary skills to effectively carry out their job functions.
• Negotiate the terms of services to be provided.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial and operational records maintenance, which entails careful oversight and management of all relevant data, focusing on detail-oriented accuracy and efficiency.
• Assisting with various services and proficiently operating machinery and equipment.
• Overseeing and enforcing procedures to ensure crops' health and well-being, closely monitoring their condition, and taking necessary actions to maintain their quality.
• Ensure the infrastructure, equipment, and supplies are regularly inspected and maintained for optimal performance and longevity. Follow routine checks, cleaning, and repairs if necessary.
• To create work schedules that are both efficient and fair for all employees.
• Ensure proper implementation of protocols so that all employees are aware of and adhering to company policies.
• Establish clear guidelines and procedures to support a productive and safe work environment.
• Ensure farm safety, food safety and security and bio-security procedures are followed.
• Ensure that quality control measures are in place and that all production records are accurately maintained. •Ensures that the product meets the necessary standards and that any issues can be identified and addressed promptly.
• Keeping detailed records helps to track progress and identify trends, which can inform future decisions and improvements.
Education
College/CEGEP or equivalent experience would be preferred. Specialization in Agriculture would be given preference.
Experience
• Experience an asset.
• First aid certification would be preferred.
