Job Duties:
• Read & interpret drawings & sketches to determine specifications and calculation requirements.
• Be able to understand building materials and building codes.
• Measure, cut, shape & assemble the wood or structural finishing with manual or power tools.
• Fit, install, repair, and level cabinets, door handles, and locks, cabinet handles, and other fixtures into design and implementation.
• Assemble and join structural components with nails, screws, adhesives etc.
• Assist with the training and guiding of apprentices to ensure tasks are carried out in the correct manner and done efficiently and correctly.
• Evaluate customer requests and provide feedback to the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of High School would be an asset.
• Completion of a College Course or Apprenticeship program in Carpentry would be an asset but not mandatory.
• 6+ months of experience in Carpentry would be preferred but not mandatory.
• Physically demanding
• Bending, crouching and kneeling
• Handling heavy loads
