Job Position: Long Haul Truck Driver
Number of Vacancies: 10
Location of Work: Travel across Canada and USA with a base at 12310 114Ave, Surrey BC V3V3N5
Term of employment: Full-time, Permanent with 50 hours per week.
Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings
Salary: $27.50 per hour for 50 hours per week, overtime after 60 hours per week at the rate of 1.5 times.
Benefits: WCB Coverage with 4% vacation pay
Credentials: Class 1 or A driver's license with air brake endorsement.
Education: High School
Experience: No experience required. On-the-job training will be provided
Additional Skills:
. Basic English is required to understand road signs and fill out the logbook
. Be able to work as individuals or in a team
. Clean driving abstract
Type of Travel: Long Haul, Regional, provincial/Territorial, National, and International.
Duties:
. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks weighing over 4600 kg with three or more axles to transport goods and material to destinations all over Canada and USA;
. Oversee all aspects of the vehicle such as the condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo;
. Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage;
. Maintain logbook, record cargo information, distance traveled, fuel consumption, and other information in the logbook;
. Communicate with the dispatcher and Load cargo.
The company will provide financial support for relocation to a suitable candidate.
