We are looking for an innovative and passionate electrical engineering technologist to join our growing team. The individual in this role is responsible for the designing, developing, testing, and operating of low-voltage electrical products. We are seeking a candidate who will be a part of a team that strives towards maintaining industry-leading uptime while implementing engineered electrical technologies.

Job Duties: 
1.Provide guidance and procedural consistency to the full life cycle of various security control systems (security alarm, CCTV, smart home device, fire alarm system, etc.), including development, commissioning, start-up, operations, and turnaround/maintenance activities.
2.Draft technical documents, commissioning reports, calculation notes and estimates.
3.Prepare engineering models and drawings with AutoCAD, perform various design tasks for new and modified low-voltage electrical systems.
4.Setup and maintain all hardware, servers, and networking associated with security control systems.
5.Work with installers to build and troubleshoot process, instrument, electrical, networking and control problems and provide hands-on training on solutions.
6.Troubleshoot problems with electrical equipment and systems, analyze failures, complete reports, perform repairs, and switch tasks.
7.Repair and install electrical equipment, including wiring, in a manner that conforms to established standards.
8.Attend and actively participate in scheduled safety meetings and training; provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring of lesser experienced employees.
9.Assist in gathering technical information for reports, specifications, and performance improvement analysis.
10.Perform administrative functions and budget control tasks including preparing/completing paperwork, attending meetings, operating descriptions, planning the execution of technicians’ work, and participating in assigned projects.

Job Requirements:
1.Completion of an electrical technology diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
2.2 years of work experience with building electrical systems, switchgear, or control systems.
3.Prior experience with 3D modelling or drafting software platforms.
4.Successfully work to meet tight deadlines while producing accurate and highly detailed drawings and technical documents.
5.Strong technical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
6.Knowledge of all applicable safety policies, procedures, regulations.
7.Ability to adapt to sudden changes in work priorities.
