Job Description:
Sonic Logistics Inc., located at 13055 60 Ave, Surrey, BC, V3X 2L6 urgently requires Four Full time/ Permanent Truck Drivers to join operations immediately. We welcome and encourage Youth, New immigrants, and Aboriginal people to apply.
Job Duties:
• Responsible to operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
• Ensure that cargo is secure and undamaged, and all load-related documentation is complete and accurate.
• Assists with unloading trucks and warehousing and/or palletizing at customer dock locations and completing required documentation, as needed.
• Inspect truck/trailer for defects pre/post trip like inspection of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes, and cold storage.
• Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to vehicles as required per company’s policies and procedures.
• Responsible to communicate with dispatchers and relaying information.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of High School is required.
Experience: No experience is required and on job training will be provided.
Language: Basic English is required.
Number of Positions: 4
Wage: $27.50/hour for 40 hours per week along with 4% Vacation pay.
