Responsibilities
Tasks
•Load, unload and transport construction materials
•Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
•Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
•Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
•Mix, pour and spread materials
•Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas
•Assist heavy equipment operators
•Operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side
•Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
•Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
•Level earth to fine grade specifications
•Pave and rake asphalt
•Clean and pile salvaged materials
•Perform routine maintenance work
•Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
•Direct traffic at or near construction sites
